Public Liability
Public liability insurance covers the amount you may be required to pay a customer if he suffers accidental death, illness, bodily injury or damage to his property while visiting your business premises.
You will also be reimbursed any legal fees which you incur
in defense of any such claims. This is particularly important because even if the court does not award any damages, you may still be required to pay large sums of money in legal fees.
Why do I Need Public Liability Insurance?
It is your legal obligation to compensate your customer for injury or loss of property caused by your negligence. Here is an example of why you may need public liability insurance:
If you own a plumbing company and your client requests that you repair something in his kitchen, you may damage another pipe while trying to find the fault. If the water escapes under pressure and completely damages the client's computer system or carpet, you will have to compensate him for the losses.
As part of our service to you, we will conduct an inspection of your premises and highlight any areas that may likely give rise to liability claims. We will make recommendations on how this can be improved.
